The Spanish Missions San Jose
In 1797, Father Fermin Francisco de Lasuen founded Mission San Jose de Guadalupe, the 14th Spanish mission in California. It was named after Saint Joseph and the Virgin Mary. The mission was located in what is now Fremont, California.
